His Unforgiving Acting Career
His first role in a television series Dil Dariya started shooting in 1988, but due to some production delays his first debut came in Fauji, a series directed by Raj Kumar Kapoor in 1989. The show depicted a look of what traning exactly looks in an army boot camp, in that series, he played the leading role as Abhimanyu Rai. His appereance in this series lead to furher roles in other television series’ like Circus and Idiot.
Shah Rukh Khan also played minor parts in the serials Umeed and Wagle Ki Duniya. His role in these TV series made critics compare his looks and acting style with film actor Dilip Kumar, but SRK was not interested in acting in movies at that time.
But, that decision was changed in April 1991. He moved to Delhi to Mumbai to pursue a career in Bollywood, and was signed to four films straight away. He was offered Dil Aashna Hai which was directed by Hema Malini. His film debut was in Deewana, which was released in 1992.
