Ratnavati, the princess of this fort, was an exhilarating beauty, and her outrageous beauty got all over a Tantrik’s head who wanted to marry her at any cost. Therefore, he started using some magic to win the heart of the princess.
The princess somehow got aware of his evil plans and ordered her sepoys to kill him. However, the Tantrik had become insane till then of Ratnavati’s beauty, and before dying he cursed the residents of the village to die and the houses of the village to remain roofless. Even today, if a roof is built in Bhangarh, it collapses. This spooky story is enough to state that Bhangarh Fort is the most haunted place in India.
