We have spent most of our days at our residence, but this wasn’t something we cherished much. Despite the year being nothing but trauma, people managed to find different measures to stay in trends. Let us start with the most surprising one. The quick recipe of Dalgona Coffee made a huge breakthrough and got viral over the internet. Almost every other person was trying this recipe at their home and uploaded images and videos through their social media stories. It was a fun, quick, and tasty recipe making everyone fall in love with it.
Don’t Rush Challenge/Pass The Brush Challenge
The challenge with several names started with a group of girls who used to pass brush or lipstick and get ready with their looks, which attracted many makeup lovers out there on Instagram and other social media platforms. The trend also took celebrities on its radar as they took up the challenge gracefully. People used it creatively by passing painting brushes and created art, digital art with pencil, etc.
Handwash challenge/Safe hand challenge
One thing the global pandemic taught us seamlessly was personal hygiene and cleanliness. Washing or sanitizing hands at regular intervals became an utmost necessity, and it is a part of our lifestyle now. To create awareness regarding the same, World Health Organization (WHO) initiated a handwashing challenge that was taken by many renowned names like Hima Das, Sachin Tendulkar, Deepika Padukone, Anushka Sharma, etc. The sole motive of the challenge was to spread awareness among people on how important it is to keep their hands clean in these torrid times.

Another interesting stuff that broke into the trending charts of 2020 was Who’s Most Likely To. It is a fun game, wherein a group of 2 to 3 people, specifically family members are asked questions according to their relation of brother-sister, sisters or couples, etc. And they have to point at the person who can do that particular thing the most.
The game took the social media accounts of many celebrities by storm as celebs like Sara Ali Khan and family, Alaya F with her brother & mom, Janhvi Kapoor with sister Khushi, Ayushmann Khurrana with his wife Tahira, Sameera Reddy and her husband, etc. all laid their interest.

Like all the challenges mentioned above in the post, the Gesture Challenge too was able to draw celebrities’ interest.

This was bound to make the trending list. A budding musician Yashraj Mukhate on his Instagram page and YouTube channel upload creative videos blended with noticeable videos and his own created music.
The most prominent creativities of his included Rasode Mai Kaun Tha dialogue, a scene from the show Saath Nibhana Saathiya, that created waves on social media with over 15 million views and made Yashraj Mukhate an instant success overnight. People pour their appreciation into his creativity and now he is close to 2 million followers on Instagram.
